I have just discovered some lovely work by Martha Brown, as featured in the current Sew Somerset magazine and had a look at her blog yesterday.
Her work has inspired me to try something loosely along the same lines as her scrappy pieces and this is the end result. I had fun glueing lots of scraps of text and then adding scraps of fabric and a vintage pearl embellishment. I love the way it has turned out and will be making more like this.

This is a wonderful piece -- I love the fabric and paper! You asked if I use paper scraps -- yes I do! I sew them right on both paper and fabric scraps. Sometimes I print onto fabric -- but only if I want a big, colour image.(My secret -- the reason that I sew so many things on my art is because I can never find my glue -- but I can ALWAYS find my sewing machine :)
What a great piece again, Barbara! :o)
