More Flea Market Finds

I managed to get a few lovely old bits of lace at the Bric A Brac market in Oxford today - some of the lace is very old and a little stained and one piece, supposedly "Victorian" has lots of cuts in it so I won't feel bad about cutting it up.  I also got 2 very cheap old strings of pearls, which I will de-string to use the pearls separately.

Remember This Work in Progress?

This was how I started this project and it has progressed apace, turning out completely  differently to how I imagined, as is often the case with these things.

Here are a few sneak peeks of the final project.  I am not showing it in its entirety as I am submitting it for publication in the next Sew Somerset magazine and don't want to give too much away yet.

Fingers crossed!  I have really enjoyed making this, despite sore, pricked fingers!

Taking a Little Break

I shall be away for a couple of days from Friday so won't be around to answer any posts etc.
Hope to be back (fingers crossed!) on Monday!

P.S. A coouple of friends have reported that they are having trouble viewing my blog.  If anyone else is having problems seeing my blog - it seems not to work if you use Internet Explorer but will work with Google Chrome, Firefox or Yahoo and possibly other search engines apart from IE.  Don't know why this is.

New Background Papers in My Etsy Store

I have added two new items  to my Etsy Store today.  One is a a re-worked collage background paper, which which has been digitially scanned from one of my original collages made from vintage text strips, rubber stamping and images.  It has also been enhanced with digitial images of Marie Antoinette (for all you fellow MA fans out there) and is perfect for use as a backround paper for collage, altered art, mixed media work, scrapbooking and ATCs.

The other is a pretty bird collage design with a shabby, worn look.

Please stop by and have a look.
