Sorry I haven't posted since New Year. Although I had a lovely birthday week last week, things have taken a dramatic turn since then and I have been in a whirl as Mr V-B was taken very ill in the early hours of Monday morning and rushed to hospital by ambulance. To cut a very long story short he was admitted and due for surgery on Wednesday but on the day of the op this was cancelled due to more urgent cases requiring the surgery and the bed, so he has been discharged with antibiotics and NO painkillers, to return for his operation in 4 weeks. It has been an awful few days, which I would not wish to endure ever again. The hospital we were diverted to is 28 miles away (our nearest hospital was full, hence the diversion), so travelling has been long and tiring.
He is home now and still feeling extremely grotty and we are both frightened that he could have another serious episode in the intervening weeks until his operation. He has had to go on a very low fat diet in the meantime and I hope that vigilance with this will stop any further attacks until the op. Fingers crossed.
Understandably, I have had no time to even think about blogging, let alone creating and feel my mojo has definitely left the building, never to return. I hope it does.
I hope the New Year gets better than this!

I will keep you two in prayer.
Oh how horrible, and frightening, and worrying for yous. Consider these my best wishes for Mr VB's endurance, and then successful op. Thinking of you both.
You are not alone, I've been hearing about a lot of illness in the friend circle.
Wishing you and Mr. V-B a restful 4 weeks and that they fly by without incident.
Sending prayers your way, Rhonda
I'm sure you are way too busy and distracted to read this, but when you do, know that I am sending good thoughts your way and hope that your hubby gets through all of this soon. I'm sending you a warm hug and let us know how it all turns out.
Hugs,
Jan
Dear Barbara
I'm so sorry to hear Mr VB is not well and I'm sending you support from 12,000 miles across the seas.
I wish I was closer and could help you, but please know that 'we bloggers' are a community of like minded souls caring for one another as best we can.
You are both in my prayers, blessings and very warm hugs to you and Mr VB

You must be so worried, I am sorry the new year started so badly for you. A 4 week wait for the operation, thats quite disgraceful.
So sorry to read this Barbara. Thinking of you both and hope that all goes well. Take care. Love Anne X
