I braved the cold and wet today and paid a visit to the Oxford Vintage Bric a Brac market. I managed to get a few goodies:- some sweet tiny pearl buttons, vintage braid and ribbon, some lace and a gorgeous old postcard.
What great finds! I just wanted to say THANK YOU so very much for your 4x4 page, it was so lovely! The book came as such a surprise! I just love it! Thanks Hugs Cassandra
'Read your comment about not being able to find good buttons. Please email me (link on my blog) and tell me what buttons you look for. Maybe I have some and I will send you a little gift some day. I love to surprise my friends. Gotta to share the button love!!
Hello Bunty: I have spent many winters on Sanibel Island as a child. Back when there was no bridge to cross, a ferry came and went 6 times a day and only a handful of hotels. Shelling was amazing on the beach and Captiva had no inhabitents other then the Jim Darling sanctuary. I would spend hours walking the beach in the Sanibel slump picking up treasures. How wonderful that you have a pair of Venus Comb Murex shells. Sea Witch
I'm a self-taught altered and mixed media artist, embroiderer and small scale quilter. I love collage, distressed and vintage art, rubber stamping and digital collage, as well as playing around in Photoshop Elements.
I also adore fabric, needlework/ embroidery and quilting and can't resist adding to my stash of lace, fabric, ribbons, buttons and embellishments.
I live in a very old cottage in the Oxfordshire Cotswolds in the UK, am now retired and looking forward to good health, being a lady of leisure and hope to spend more of my free time creating.
